I can not believe that this kid is almost one. Where in the hell did the last year go!?

Not to be cliche, but it is so true that the days are long and the years are short. And now I'll go cry in the shower.

He is so different than Lucy. In some great ways and some not-so-great.

+I've said this before but he is so inquisitive. He examines things before he gets into them. Total opposite of his sister - she's all in at the get-go.

+He gets up almost every night. Still. This is getting old and we chalk it up to being sick, teeth, but really, a YEAR Gage? Lucy slept through the night almost immediately and really had one or two bad nights a month.

+He is a climber - he is all over everything all the time. All the time. 

+He doesn't eat like Lucy did. She was almost insatiable- three meals a day and 3 8oz bottles a day. Gage will pick twice a day and eat one good meal. He'll have three bottles a day 6-8 oz. We also break the "don't feed them at night" rule and sometimes resort to giving him a 6 oz bottle because we've tried literally everything else and we need sleep, too.

+Still on the food train - he's not picky. Lucy was and still is picky. He ate spicy taco meat, chili, refried beans.

+Dare devil. Loves being thrown up in the air, loves the swing. She never liked the swings and still doesn't unless she's not going high.

+He's between one and two naps a day. Lucy now is taking naps most days but is starting to wean herself :( Doesn't nap much at school.

+LOVES his doggy. 

+Loves dancing. Still. and he definitely sings "Go Gagey, Go Gagey, Go" (Tune of Ninja Turtles Go Ninja). Loves dancing to Lucy's new Elsa. I mean he has a big sister so 

+Says "uh oh" all the time. Also clicks his tongue all the time especially when you ask him what Papa's clock says.

I can't think of anything else... surely I'm forgetting a million things.

Lucy these days is getting more and more defiant and back talking more and jeeez is she smart (smart mouth and in her brain). But at the same time she is sweet and loving and caring. She is nuts. She is so old, but at the same time just a little girl. She is my absolute favorite girl in the whole entire world.
