Cruisin'

This was my, Mark's, Lucy's, and my brother-in-law Sean's first cruise experience. It was interesting. We had a great time but I DID feel the boat moving... so cruisers lie ;)

I am not a fantastic picture taker - I am trying, seriously. But I did get a bunch of good ones. We had a great time and I'll make it short (due to lots o' pics) and just narrate the pics.

These first few are out of order as they are from my phone :)

So Lucy seriously had so much fun with the towel animals. After dinner every night we rushed back to see what Gusti (our steward) had left us.

night 1 - a walrus ... that Lucy destroyed before we could get a pic so we had to put it back up...hence the leaning

a little big-girl bed for Lucy made out of the couch. Our steward was so sweet; he had this little bed made for Lucy when we got back from dinner the first night. Lucy did so well in it - hope it will be that easy when we put her in her big-girl room!!! :)

loved to sit in the window

2nd night - the worst. It was the formal night and Mark didn't bring pants so we weren't allowed in!!! I was so angry.

this is after we had to throw away our ice cream because it was so windy it was melting instantly and blowing ALL OVER.

night 2 - we think it was a dog

SO much fun in the pool

night 3 - some sort of bird? haha we weren't very good at deciphering at first

first port day - day 4

we thought our boat was big but we docked next to another Carnival ship and omg it dwarfed us!

we did NOT like the beach here. We did most of our shopping here as we were told to, and the shopping was great but the sand was not - see next pic.

Mark could hardly walk back it hurt his feet so badly

but they had an awesome pool and we snagged some great seats right near the shallow end. We chilled here for the rest of the afternoon and Lucy managed to get fried on her face :/

day 4 - frog

second port day - and my fave! - Half Moon Cay. Day 5

Lucy "can't like" the wind

so. so. so. gorg.

Mark found a LIVE hermit crab in the water. I tried my darndest to get a pic of it out of the shell...

this was our longest day off the boat - 8-5 - so they had these little cabanas(?) that you could rent for the day. to the tune of $1500.... PER PERSON

almost directly in front of our boat you can see Mark (in his hat) and Lucy

night 5 - an elephant. Lucy's request!

notice her FRIED face... again! :( poor thing

a no-beach day/hat wearing day!!

Port Lucaya, Bahamas day 6
this was a port FILLED with local-type stuff: shopping, bartering, etc. it was nice to take a break from the sun and just hang out with my little family

coconut tree

we found a candy shop and a Mickey weave bag :)

shopping

almost!!!

industrial port

the smaller boat is a tug boat... just for those of you who are like me and still think (at almost 30 years old) that they are like the little teeny things in cartoons...

night 6 - turkey

future cheering flyer??? haha prob no

sisters-in-law

how Lucy acts when she gets ice cream. me too baby :)

last night at dinner... Eduardo was our waiter all week and he was fantastic. We loved him. He sang and danced and entertained us for 7 days!!!

day 7 - monkey!! :)

sweet Gusti. He took care of us all week and was SO sweet to Lucy. he remembered our names and said hello to us every day/night. Lucy pronounced his name Goofy - poor guy. He was wonderful.

all packed up and ready to go home!!!

we were ported in Baltimore for quite a while before we were able to get off so we hung out at putt putt and  the basketball court

thanks, Mark. my bball skillz

cheater

too bright for Lucy

Rowel (another one of our regular servers) was a napkin master! he made Lucy things all week and he made Mark this gun lol
